DAY 3:
“ Batu Caves (Tamil: பத்து மலை, romanized: Pattumalai) is a mogote (a type of karst landform) that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Malay word batu, meaning ‘rock’.The cave complex is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Murugan. It is the focal point of the Tamil festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.”
So glad we went a bit early as it was hot and humid…. Climbing the 272 rainbow coloured steps in 30 degree heat was a challenge but we did it and enjoyed every minute….

Day 2….

Day 1….

The markets in Yarram yielded a $12 bag of scraps… this was bought a year and a half ago not knowing what I would do with it…. There were 5 pieces of odd shapes and a scrappy jelly roll from(again) year ago… an hours work of playing with fabric and enjoying the rhythm 🎶 of my sewing machine 😍
