CLUNES RTE

It was meant to be a motorcycle ride to Clunes… but as you can see from the skies this was not weather to be reckoned with … especially on a motorcycle 🏍️ so into the car we climbed & thank heavens for that as temperatures were ridiculous 🥶….it cleared up closer to our destination… but as always, whatever the weather it’s always so good to be out to see the autumn colours singing 🎶 their last songs.

A special RTE today as we celebrated an 80th birthday… This man is a legend and so is his wife… they both still ride and are heading to fly to Canada to ride there !!!

Here to stay the night in this quaint little town …

CLUNES “ Founded in 1851 during the height of the gold rush frenzy, it emerged as a beacon of wealth and opportunity, shaping Australia’s history and economy. Today the town’s picturesque streets and meticulously preserved architecture serve as a living testament to its illustrious past.”

Parts of the original Mad Max (1979) were filmed in the town, famously showcasing the Creswick Creek Bridge…

SCRAPHAPPY MAY 2025

Good morning and so happy to be back here 🫶

Today’s post is a little bit more ‘Vintage’ than ‘Scrappy’

But again it’s something that has been used and used again & now I am the happy recipient ❤️‍🩹

Having lost my dad in February this year my mum is still adjusting to lots of things in her life. Her one constant has always & will always be her Prayers 🙏

This picture I have posted is of a prayer that has been handed down from my grandmother to my mother & now to me !

November 27 1958 !! Calcutta now called Kolkata.. the city of my birth 🙏

Here are the links for everyone who joins ScrapHappy from time to time (they may not post every time, but their blogs are still worth looking at).
