It was meant to be a motorcycle ride to Clunes… but as you can see from the skies this was not weather to be reckoned with … especially on a motorcycle 🏍️ so into the car we climbed & thank heavens for that as temperatures were ridiculous 🥶….it cleared up closer to our destination… but as always, whatever the weather it’s always so good to be out to see the autumn colours singing 🎶 their last songs.
A special RTE today as we celebrated an 80th birthday… This man is a legend and so is his wife… they both still ride and are heading to fly to Canada to ride there !!!
Here to stay the night in this quaint little town …
CLUNES “ Founded in 1851 during the height of the gold rush frenzy, it emerged as a beacon of wealth and opportunity, shaping Australia’s history and economy. Today the town’s picturesque streets and meticulously preserved architecture serve as a living testament to its illustrious past.”
Parts of the original Mad Max (1979) were filmed in the town, famously showcasing the Creswick Creek Bridge…
