KaiRTEm

24th September our little Kai was born. A beautiful little boy 👦 A grandson to my cousin G ❣️

“On the night you were born, the moon smiles with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you… & the night wind whispered … LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME !!”

How else can a grand aunt celebrate the coming of a new nephew other than making something special for him 😊

And so I present my simple cuddly …

An everlasting hug 🤗

ScrapHappy September 2021

Another month gone and we are still in lockdown 🤦‍♀️…. What else is new …. It’s become so normal for us these days which is very sad.

On a much brighter note it sure gives me lots of time to do what I love doing 🤩

This bag is all mine … I’m always making for friends and thought it was about time I made one for myself 😍
This one is for a friend of my mums in Perth. She sees all I make as I post on Facebook very regularly and she asked if I could make her one and she would pay me. I never sell but am always happy to make 😍
These scraps make a nice mat … I need to make it thicker for more comfort 🤩
These cushion covers were made to celebrate Father’s Day 🤩
Trying new things with my scraps. It’s earmarked for another friend who told me it was her favourite colour. I’m keeping it aside to add to her Christmas Hamper 🎶
And last but definitely not least is this table runner… again using my scraps and trying new methods 🎀

ScrapHappy is open to anyone using up scraps of anything – no new materials. It can be a quilt block, pincushion, bag or hat, socks or a sculpture. Anything made of genuine scraps is eligible. If your scrap collection is out of control and you’d like to turn them into something beautiful or useful instead of leaving them to collect dust in the cupboard, why not join us on the 15th of each month? Either email Kate (http://talltalesfromchiconia.wordpress.com ) at the address on my Contact Me page, or leave a comment below. You can also contact Gun via her blog to join. We welcome new members. You don’t have to worry about making a long term commitment or even join in every month, just let either of us know a day or so in advance if you’re new and you’ll have something to show, so we can add your link. Regular contributors will receive an email reminder three days before the event.

Here are the links for everyone who joins ScrapHappy from time to time (they may not post every time, but their blogs are still worth looking at).

Happy ScrapHappy September my friends 😍

Happiness is….

Another week has gone by and altogether we have spent 259 days in harsh lockdown!!

This year is slipping away as well …. But I feel very blessed for each new day .

It’s spring in beautiful Melbourne and yesterday the husband & myself spent some time out the front doing some planting ( well he did the planting & I watched 🤩)

Nothing better than breathing new life into your surroundings and making it more beautiful ❣️

I went out the front just now to look at the plants & this is what awaited me ❤️

HAPPINESS IS …..
