ScrapHappy December 2021

It’s that time again and Lo & Behold it’s the end of the year !!! Where does the time go …..

This ScrapHappy piece is not made with fabric or thread …. It’s a centrepiece for an 25th Wedding Anniversary which was meant to be in October… however due to lockdown was postponed to December …. Better late than never I say 😍

This was something I made for our 25th anniversary three years ago …. It’s been used at least five times now over the three years by different friends & friends of friends. I tweek it every time so as to make it individual for them.

The lantern is from IKEA, the base is a piece of florist form which has been covered with foil to match the silver theme. The flowers have also been recycled with a bit of greenery added to it. Even the candles inside the lanterns have been reused time and time again and after three years I have needed to put new batteries in it so that it would be nice and bright in the ambient light at the restaurant.

The event was a rip roaring success and my friends loved the centrepieces and that made me very happy.
