My Weekend π
ScrapHappy November 2021
Good morning and happy ScrapHappy day to everyone β¦. Itβs here again !!!!
Seems like yesterday I had put it up a ScrapHappy Days post. The month seem to be flying by and we are almost at the end of the year.
I love this time of the month and always seem to have something ScrapHappyβ¦. Which is very good seeing as I use up and recycle pieces of fabric or anything else for that matter.
This month Scrap happy piece is a four slice toaster cover made for a friend who lives in Perth.

Here are the links for everyone who joins ScrapHappy from time to time (they may not post every time, but their blogs are still worth looking at).

BILLY GOATS BLUFF
You will need more than a keen sense of adventure to tackle the Billy Goat Bluff Track. The iconic track is listed as one of the most challenging in the country. But if you have previous 4WD experience and enjoy a challenge, you can take on the high country hills with confidence( which hubby mine has in spades π€©)
There are a few things to consider when taking on the track and the surrounding area of Alpine National Park including the trackβs conditionsβ¦.
We came here with all intentions of doing this track againβ¦ but this mornings skies did not give us much hopeβ¦.
The track begins at the intersection of Wonnangatta Road and Billy Goat Bluff track in the Alpine National Park, near Dargo. The Billy Goat Bluff track difficulty level is high. Itβs considered one of the hardest drives not only in Victoria but all of Australia. For good reason, the Billy Goat Bluff track is listed as one of Australiaβs most dangerous and challenging roads. The track is extremely narrow and edged with cliff faces, making passing oncoming vehicles a challenge.
We decided to at least drive to the head of the track and make a decision from there β¦. The skies cleared up enough for sometime & so we bit the bullet and let the air down from the tyres & turned on the Diff Locks β¦ engaged 4 wheel drive & headed onto the track β¦.
We managed the track to the helipad which is the halfway point and only place to turn around β¦. We did turn back as the skies started doing very ominous things β¦
Happy that we were able to tackle the track once again β€οΈ

And so it starts β¦.
262 days of lockdown has taken most of our year awayβ¦ itβs been long and hard β¦ but itβs also had itβs positive sideβ¦ We have had work all the way throughβ¦ the kids have had work all the way through β¦ we have had lots of family time and lots of other things in between.
But with vaccination rates going up & up we have all been let out. We all need to live with the virus unfortunately and hereβs praying that it becomes easier as time passes.
Itβs the first time in a few months we have been able to head out into the countryβ¦ something we love doing. Victoria is beautiful any time of year ( but then again Iβm biased π), and when you have been under lock & key for so long itβs marvellous to get out.
We chose to come to a little town called Dargoβ¦. located 348 kilometres east of Melbourne, in the Shire of Wellington. Itβs a tiny little town with lots of green lush rolling hills all around. I found an Off Grid Retreat & we are here for some R&R for the next couple of nights π

Melbourneβs Freedom Friday!
LAST DAY OF LOCKDOWN!!!!

Last day of lockdown in Melbourne. I woke up and thought about these last two years. The pain, the fear, all of the angst. I can see hope but still we will tread with care and purpose. And we must look after each other always β€οΈ

WE RISE !!!
There is always one thing to be thankful for each morning.

I just want to say good morning β€οΈ

Life is full of give-and-take. give thanks and take nothing for granted.

Thank you for being part of my journey ππΆ

And do the day beginsβ¦. Happy Tuesday π
